SHIPPING TO A EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRY:

Our shipments are made from France, so you will not have customs fees or other taxes to pay if you are located in a European Union country. The tax based on French VAT is already applied to your order.

SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION:

In the event of an order to a country other than mainland France, you are the importer of the product(s) concerned. For all products shipped outside the European Union and Overseas Territories, the price will be calculated excluding taxes automatically on the invoice (if this is not the case, contact us before payment). Customs duties or other local taxes or import duties or state taxes may be payable. These rights and sums do not fall within the jurisdiction of Atoutcubes. They will be your responsibility and are your entire responsibility, both in terms of declarations and payments to the competent authorities and/organizations in your country. We advise you to find out about these aspects from your local authorities.

What are customs duties?

Customs duties are a tax levied on all products imported into your country. According to the harmonized tariff schedule (2019 edition), there are no customs duties for "puzzles of all kinds; their parts and accessories".

What is VAT?

VAT or “Value Added Tax” is a tax that may or may not be applied to your imported shipments depending on the value of your shipment. VAT charges vary from country to country and are calculated based on the value of your shipment. For more information on VAT, we recommend that you check with your country's customs agency.

Who is responsible for paying import taxes?

The importer (person or company) who receives the shipment is legally required to pay all import VAT shown on their package.

Why wasn't I informed of import taxes in advance?

Import taxes and fees are charged on a case-by-case basis and do not affect all international shipments. Where possible, the shipping company or a customs agent will contact you in advance to give you an estimate of the cost of import taxes before your package is assessed by tax and customs. Please note that this service is not guaranteed by the shipping service and is often only informed of applicable charges after the package has been delivered.

Why is my shipment being held at customs?

Sometimes, customs requests additional information from the importer (person or company). It is always best to contact your country's customs department to determine what information must be provided for your shipment to clear customs.

Refusal of the package

If the recipient refuses delivery of the package and any associated import charges and those charges are charged to our shipping account, those charges and any return shipping charges will be billed to the recipient in the form of an invoice or in deducting the recipient's refund amount.
