Coaching - Jonathan Dammann

Would you like to get started or improve your skills while having fun at the same time? My name is Jonathan. I have been competing in speedcubing competitions for over five years and have won more than 140 medals at WCA competitions.

I know exactly what it takes to reach a very high level. I have achieved two podium finishes at national championships, I am currently the French 4BLD Champion, and I am ranked 3rd in France in the Sum of Ranks for blindfolded events.

Whatever your current level, if your goal is to reach the highest national level, I can support you throughout your progression and guide you during your learning journey so that you can reach your full potential.

Note: For wings in BigBLD, I use the same orbit as with the r2 method. This means that the transition will be smooth if you want to move on to the 3-Style method.

📌 How does the coaching method work?

We will use a filmed solve of yours—not an exceptionally good or bad one, but a representative time for your current level. I will analyse the mistakes I can see. However, since a large part of a blindfolded solve is invisible from the outside, you will explain what is going through your mind at each stage. We will then analyse everything together, without judgement—I know that letter pairs can sometimes be embarrassing!

🔵 Personal coaching session

• What is included: I will analyse one or more videos of your solves to assess your overall level and identify your mistakes. We will then have a one-hour video call to discuss your solves and understand what is happening in your mind during memorisation. You will also receive personalised help, advice and exercises to work on between coaching sessions, allowing you to improve smoothly and quickly.
