• In “2-pad” mode, you must place your fingertips on both pads to start or stop the timer.

• In “4-pad” mode, you must use both your fingertips and your thumbs to start or stop the timer.

• The auxiliary cable socket is now located underneath the timer to prevent it from being accidentally unplugged.

• Thanks to its new system, the timer attaches very easily to the mounting points on compatible mats.

To prevent the RESET or POWER buttons from being accidentally pressed when the timer is slammed down, they must now be held down for ½ second to be activated.

No more lost times or accidentally switched-off timers! The buttons also feature a new reinforced design that will not wear out with prolonged use.

G5 timers are compatible with Pro Tournament Displays, and the cable connects underneath the timer so that it does not get in the way or become accidentally unplugged during an event.

A new G5 mat is also available to accompany the G5 timer, featuring a new shape and a new attachment system. The snap-button system prevents the timer from accidentally coming loose from the mat—simply snap the timer into place and it will remain rock-solid.

Please note that, due to the new attachment system, G5 timers are not compatible with older mats.

The G5 timer has two modes: 4-pad mode (for stacking) and 2-pad mode (for speedcubing, where it works like a G4 timer). To switch between modes, simply hold down the RESET button for 5 seconds. To prevent 2-pad mode from being used during stacking tournaments, when this mode is active, the screen and Tournament Display flash three times when showing the final time, making the operating mode clear to judges and spectators. The LCD screen and LED colour also indicate the timer’s current mode.

G5 timers have been mandatory for WSSA (World Sport Stacking Association) sanctioned cup-stacking tournaments since 1 September 2021.
